Haha! This is a little comic strip i drew way back in 2005 back when I was young and single and just drew or wrote whenever I wanted to. Even a silly daily blog with a silly little comic to go with the theme of the post. I had been approaching children's book publishers and they were all super confused that I would want to draw the illustrations in my own book. Not as much an issue these days but back then even Marvel and DC thought the idea of a writer also being an artist was unimaginable. Anyway, it gave me a little chuckle. Or chortle. Maybe a gufah. #Art #Writing #Drawing #childrensbooks #pick it #Artist #Writer #childrenspublishing #Comics #Comic strip #Cartoon #Illustration #publishing #publisher

Started drawing some I dunno hieroglyphic/Mandela lookin' stuff with my 4yo #PorterDillon today. Not sure where that came from or where it's going but it's surprisingly fun and calming. They really dont like blank space in those styles. Ha. Also made me think of @mrdoodle who just has this kind of sruff flowing out of him all the time. #Art #Drawing #Lettering #Design #mandala #hieroglyphics #language #alphabet

Birthday drawing for John Carpenter. Movies like Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing, were my favorite movies as a kid and huge inspirations to me. Having now worked for him and his wife Sandy on Tales for a HalloweeNight Vol. 1 & 2 and Asylum is a dream realized. They are also just super nice. Super awesome people. Sandy has been a big supporter and life saver even. Anyway, Happy 71st! I hope you guys had a wonderful day. Thanks for every Thing!! ;) #Horror #Movies #JohnCarpenter #StormKingComics #SandyCarpenter #Comics #Art #Drawing #InkDrawing #BrushDrawing #DrawingOfTheDay #Filmmaking #Directors #Hollywood #Halloween #Illustration #FilmArt #fanart

Mutating woman brush drawing (no pencil sketch). That's a cheapo refillable brush thing from Wal-Mart. Like .97cents or something. Seems to work just as well as the $30 fancy pants brushes i used to by, and it's portable. #Art #Drawing #Ink #InkDraw #Brush #BrushDrawing #ArtOfTheDay #Comics #Horror #Monster #mutant #ArtSupply #artsupplies
